Something's rockin' the chair on my back porch
It's late but I can't help but open the door
The chair stops as I step in the windless night
It starts again as soon as I step inside
Someone's present in the night tonight
From the heaven's did alight tonight
Whispers softly you'll be alright
Come back on outside
I re-emerge and see a heron's silhouette by the lake
He flaps his wings upon sensing my curious gaze
The heron flies like a sliver angel through the trees
I follow him as fireflies light the way for me
Someone's present in the night tonight
From the heaven's did alight tonight
Beckons me with his joyous flight
Come along for a ride
My feet depart from the bonds of the dark, damp clay
I chase the bird as he swoops back around the lake
We land softly right next to my bedroom door
I head in as he returns to his spot on the shore
Someone's present in the night tonight
From the heaven's did alight tonight
Whispers softly you'll be alright
There's no pain you can't fight, there's no pain you can't fight
