I want to live in this acre of trees
With only snow under my feet
And only birds to hear while I sleep
But it isn't meant to be, for only moments move me
I don't yet know where I want to live
And my conviction is thin as a sieve
So I'll just pursue what keeps me alive
But whatever keeps me free is ever-changing
I want to live in this acre of trees
And never let go what it means to me
The only darkness will come with the night
And I'll never strain to see what beauty excites in me
