Harakiri Reflex - It Never Really Mattered Lyrics

Harakiri Reflex - It Never Really Mattered Lyrics

Looking out my window and all I can see
Is people waiting to die patiently
It's like we're all wearing the same greedy face
'Cause we're all competing in the same paper chase
But you can call me the early drop out
'Cause I'm sick of money hungry pigs telling me what life is about

The clock wants me to slit my wrists
But I'll laugh at it 'cause time don't exist
It's just cellular senescence and young drug dependence
That's the reason for the day I won't be on the world's attendance
But I never liked science and all that
'Cause I'd rather chase dreams then be let down by facts

My head looks clean but my mind is scarred
Imagination won't get you too far
That's what they say but I don't think that they're right
'Cause my imaginary friends and I we never fight
So your war, violence, power trips and wealth
It's all good, you can keep that for yourself

Throwing paper planes just to watch them land
I always try to smile when I see you holding his hand
It's kind of hard losing you're happiness to someone else
Summer came along and made the snowman melt
And even though it makes me a mess
I hope he makes you smile because you deserve the best

Inside of me, well it's mostly you
And pictures of things that we loved to do
Like lie in bed all day and never worry
'Cause we're young and our purpose is still blurry
But one day, we'll grow old, be obligated to drink coffee and have responsabilities...

But it's all good, it'll be fine
Let's take it easy and not clutter the mind
We used to joke around with friends and drink all night
Thinking back on it now, I had the time of my life
And to be honest, I don't know what's sadder?
The fact it's such a blur or the fact that it never really mattered...
