I wake up feeling older
I think to myself I'm too young for my bones to ache this way
I look in the mirror, measure the grey

Time marches forward, ever forward
And I suspect it might be moving faster, ever faster, always faster
I know men ain't supposed to live forever
When I was younger, not forever seemed much longer

I went outside and the sunshine warmed my face
For a moment, I was in a better place
I tried to make that moment last forever
But then a cloud floated past and I was forced to remember
