Almost slid into another car today
Trying not to look at the wrecks on the other side of the parkway
And I should've known better
They should've known better, but they were spun out
Now it's siren's and cold weather
And now there's a soul that's tethered to the ground
Veer off this bridge and I'll sleep with the snitches
Asleep through the snooze
Turnpike tolls and northern souls all lost
I've been dreaming of truce
We entered the swamp and we gave 'em well wishes
I wish it all would go away
Countin' blood money on passaic lots
And I should've known better
We all should know better but we're in doubt
Sirens and cold weather
And now you're behind the lever deterring costs
And every time I try and get myself out
They just go and try and pull me back in
I think I'm going to meet the Iceman
Probly gonna end up in a fridge
Should've known better
Could have done better, if only I had known better
At what point do I rearrange? But who am I to say?
What's the matter? Redirect my fate
And who's to measure?
Am I the one whose to blame? Could I have known any better?
Should have done better, am I no better than the rest?
