We get frightened all of the time, when there's nothing left to hide behind
We crawl around on the earth, monkeys searching for their worth
And if I trip will it hurt?
Will I fall down into the dirt?
Will I be turned into stone?
Will I be petrified and alone?
You can call out if you dare, will they bother to try and hear?
Well if you aren't loud enough, you will never see through the rough
Standing in a house of glass, watching distant memories pass
Passing along through grey eyes, whatever is left now must be lies
I can't project or deny the light, it takes the past to see the future right
Now I'll keep sharpening my knife, need no longer worry about strife
When we know there's no truth in sight, it is our instinct a fight or flight
I was closed in an empty life, I was so close to enter light
Without humans
