Luke and Sadie sit upon the ocean floor
Sadie smiles at him, but he can't lift his jaw
The world's not ready for him or his bright ideas
But ever the optimist Sadie disagrees
A single year has passed beneath the big blue deep
Sadie's cheerful tone is lost amongst the weeds
Luke won't move an inch
He's not awake and barely breathing
Both are lost because their parents won't stop their screaming
Can't forget
Can't look away
Can't forgive
The plans we'd made
Both their parents living in their separate homes
One is happy and the other's just for show
Can you see her face
She's not awake and barely breathing
Just the same as both her unborn children disappearing
Can't forget
Can't look away
Can't forgive
The plans we'd made
