Long Ride Home Again
Here I am on a long ride home again
And I'm sitting watching the outside rain
I keep hiding in the city in the pouring rain
And I'm thinking about how I get through this again
You hold onto anything that would make it right
The truth's keeping me up all night.
You always take the wrong route walking hardest way through
And I said that's just like I used to do
It's a long ride home
It's a long ride home
Is there someway of knowing that everything is going to go without a hitch
It's a long ride home again
We're dancing so close I wonder if I love you enough
We take off our clothes in the freezing cold then jump under the covers
The daylight shines onto your face.
And I'm feeling I need to run from your place.
It's a long ride home
It's a long ride home
Is there someway of knowing that everything is going to go without a hitch
It's a long ride home again
It's strange how two people in love brush their teeth the same way
It always seems safer to talk after the sun goes down
Im trying to find someway out but I just hang onto everything
I'm only half a mile away and I'm handing my ticket in
The wind cuts right through me and I'm thinking
Yes I'm thinking about turning round again
It's a long ride home
It's a long ride home
Is there someway of knowing that everything is going to go without a hitch
It's a long ride home again
It's a long ride home
It's a long ride home
Is there someway of knowing that everything is going to go without a hitch
It's a long ride home again
