I'm 21 and I don't have my license
Yeah, I'm still on my Ls
I'm 21 and I don't have a driver's permit
And the reason for that is there's only one car for me

I moved to Nunawading
Cuz the public transport is pretty good here
I can get pretty much anywhere I need to go
Within an hour or so
Even Diamo

I just jump on the 902 and then it takes like 50 minutes to get to Eltham
And from there it's a 7 minute train or 15 minute bus to my stop

I'm 21 and I don't have a license

And the truth is there's only one car for me

It's a Kombi Van from 1963
I said a Kombi Van, but the only problem is
I can't drive manual

I'm 21 and I'm not legally permitted to operate a motor vehicle
And that's because I don't want to drive a car
And I can't afford the rego or the insurance or the car itself or the petrol
Or pretty much anything to do with cars

I can't afford to get drunk at the bar,
So how do you expect me to buy a car?
Cars just seem like a big waste of money
So I'm still on my Ls
