From the very early ages the wise Jewish sages
Argued and wrote for pages and pages
But on one point they all said the same thing
Six days from Adam to Messiah as king
Moses and Peter and the rabbis say
A thousand years with the Lord is a day
Six days of work then a sabbath rest
It's a picture of history greatly compressed
Six thousand years of toil and tears
A thousand to rest when Messiah appears
We know when we are by counting the days
Starting when Adam was made from the clay
A thousand years from Adam to Enoch
A thousand more to Abraham
Another thousand to Solomon
And a thousand after that to Messiah as lamb
Not the lion they Jews expected
Hardened hearts Jesus rejected
Sent to the Romans hung on a tree
And he shed his blood for all who believe
Natural branches cast aside
God now grafts from far and wide
Making a body of Heathen and Jew
And that's something new so let's review
A thousand years from Adam to Enoch
A thousand more to Abraham
Another thousand to Solomon
And a thousand after that to Messiah as lamb
Two thousand years of mercy and grace
Fantastic news for every race
The Spirit gathers the Son's own bride
And the Jews are scattered far and wide
But dem bones dem bones dem dry bones
Are back in the land that was once their home
So we know this age is about to end
As God turns back to the Jew again
A thousand years from Adam to Enoch
A thousand more to Abraham
Another thousand to Solomon
And a thousand after that to Messiah as lamb
Two thousand years of mercy and grace
While Jesus makes his bride a place
Then rapture and tribulation
And a thousand years of jubilation
How close we are is hard to tell
The calendars don't match up well
I'm thinking they have all gone wrong
But looking round I'd say not long
