Looking around we can see that it's late
No I don't have a particular date
The Lord said don't bother to speculate
The Father by himself will orchestrate
It isn't a thing we can calculate
The best we can do is approximate
And that is that so now we wait
Perilous times streets full of hate
Shouts and jeers instead of civil debate
Grievances and grudges accumulate
With no one qualified to arbitrate
But the Righteous One will adjudicate
When he returns as potentate
And that is that so now we wait
Mom and Dad failing to educate
Teachers happy to indoctrinate
Children unable to concentrate
Boys and girls rushing to copulate
And murder the babies they procreate
But the King will come soon and set things straight
And that is that so now we wait
We do what we can don't leave it to fate
Put on our armor and stand in the gate
Seven times down we are up again eight
Not to belittle or humiliate
But ready to explain and communicate
With anyone willing to reciprocate
And that is that so now we wait
