My job is fine, I can't complain
I have food to eat and shelter from the rain
But what gets me out of bed are dreams of where I'd be instead
If I had a few more hours in my day
I find new ways to put them off
Be it school, or work, or lovers now lost
But if my math is right, I can muster up that time
As long as it's soon because it's running out
Some of these goals are getting old
And seem to be falling out of reach
So I gotta jump and try to catch up before they shatter on the ground
And hope that I land safely on my feet
My schedule's up and scribed in stone
And these double shifts are taking their toll
But if I were freed up, you'd find me living in my phone
I only visit now
My parents can't recall my voice
And my friends think they're ignored by choice
I'm sorry that there's already such a long list of to-dos
But I just added one to call soon
Some of these goals are getting old
And seem to be falling out of reach
So I gotta jump and try to catch up before they shatter on the ground
Oh, not this time around, yeah
I'm checking 'em off out of order
But this list's a little shorter than the one from yesterday
I'm checking 'em off out of order
But this list's a little shorter than the one from yesterday
I'm checking 'em off out of order
But this list's a little shorter than the one from yesterday
I'm checking 'em off out of order
But this list's a little shorter than the one from yesterday
Tomorrow's might be a little longer
But that's okay
But that's okay
But that's okay
But that's okay
(Woo, come on, yeah, uh, uh, woo, are you ready for it?)
That's okay
(Yeah, come on, uh, yeah, uh, come on)
