Grief is just a house
And the house has four different rooms
One of them has my mother's anger in the bricks
And my brother's room is the foundations
Grief is just a house
And the stairs tell the story of my feet
How I've grown to be who I am today
Because grief is just a house
Grief is just a house
And the sadness lives in the trees
The wind pushes the cries through the window cracks
And I am unable to breathe
This is never ending
But so is my love
As I move to decorate a new house
It will sit still and be there for years to come
