I got an electric truck, shiny and new
Powered by the sun and it's quiet too
But there's a little problem out back in my yard
My truck's jealous of my dog, and it's tryin' real hard
See, my dog gets the front seat on every ride
With his head out the window and ears flappin' wide
But my truck feels neglected, sitting all alone
Wishing it had a soul to call its own
Oh my truck's got the blues, you can see it in its eyes
Jealous of my dog, who's the apple of my eye
Beepin' and honkin', it's tryin' to compete
But it can't wag its tail or fetch at my feet
I tried to cheer it up, took it through the car wash
Gave it a polish, made that paint job posh
But nothing seemed to work, it just kept feelin' down
While my pup was the king all over town
Bought my truck some upgrades, a fancy touchscreen
Thinking it'd be happy, so sleek and clean
But every time it whirred, I could hear the sigh
Nothin' beats a dog's love, no matter how hard you try
Oh my truck's got the blues, you can see it in its eyes
Jealous of my dog, who's the apple of my eye
Beepin' and honkin', it's tryin' to compete
But it can't wag its tail or fetch at my feet
