Five, four, three, two, impact
I'm finally making contact
Crash landing on a planet
I think I've made a habit of
Calling out for mayday
In hopes that I can see his face
The supernova's calling
Been spiralling since August
Drifting into orbit
Now fight the urge to call him
Name a constellation for him
Think only of ignoring if you can
Cause I need him
Like the moon needs the tide
And I need someone else
To stare at the sky
The radio is broken
But here I am still hoping
To hear those words unspoken
A maybe has me choking
It's so lonely on my station
I've started talking to the sun
It's raining in New England
The light makes him look different
A galaxy's not far
From the backseat of a car
Break my neck to see the moon
How the stars can make me swoon all my life
Cause I will blind myself
To see him shine
And I will live each day
On a line
And oh, I think
I've fallen for the sun
And oh, I know
It's over and never began
