Daniel in Babylon
Far from his native home
Nebuchadnezzar wouldn't let Daniel
Worship at Jehovah's throne
And then there's Shadrach, Meshach, Abednego
Wouldn't bow down to the King
He threatened those boys with a fiery end
If they wouldn't stop and kiss his ring
They knew that God would come through
And waited for His rescue, and they said
Save me, save me!
Lead me to the rock that's higher than I
Take me, take me
Take me to the promised land
Zacchaeus up in the tree
Waiting for Jesus to come
Hidin' from the people in the neighborhood
He stole those taxes from
And Jesus said get down
I'm comin' to your house today
Then Jesus brought hope and eternal life
When Zac bowed his head to pray
He asked the Lord to forgive Him
For Jesus to live in Him, and he said
Save me, save me!
Lead me to the rock that is higher than I
Take me, take me
Take me to the promised land
Take me to the promised land
When we call to Him, He hears us
When we pray to Him, He answers
He delivers, oh yeah
I was standing on the edge of life
With nowhere else to go
I cried to the Lord to help me
To save me from the rocks below
He reached His hand from heaven - heaven
And saved me from all of my sin - from my sin
He made a place for me in glory
To live eternal life with Him
I asked the Lord to forgive me
For Jesus to live in me, and I said
Save me, save me!
Lead me to the rock that is higher than I
Take me, take me
Take me to the promised land
Save me, save me!
Lead me to the rock that is higher than I
Take me, take me
Take me to the promised land, oh
Save me, save me!
Lead me to the rock that is higher than I
Take me, take me
Take me to the promised land
Take me to the promised land
I said take me to the promised land
