Faith No More is an American rock band from San Francisco, California, formed in 1981.

They officially announced their breakup on April 20, 1998. They have since reunited, embarking on The Second Coming Tour from 2009-2012 and releasing a new album in 2015.

The band was originally called Sharp Young Men, but changed to Faith No Man when their front man was Mike 'The Man' Morris. After he left, 'The Man' was no more, so they changed it to "Faith No More".

I think we pretty much needed an overhaul in our sound. There was a lot going on in the last couple albums. There were a lot of changes. I think what we tried to do is strip down the sound and make things sound a little bit more basic. We've always been a band that's prided ourselves in doing new things not ever repeating ourselves, so with that in mind, it's kind of ridiculous to keep using the same producer.
