Eric Vattima - Gone Lyrics

Got caught with a lump in my throat
And I ain't quite sure the weight that it holds
Cause when you sent me the news
I couldn't see
It hit me right where it hurts
Brought me down to my knees
Till at the end of the day I reevaluate
The situation in my mind before it's too late
Guess when the dust falls down in the end nobody knows
I pack a bag, and shut the door, to play a couple shows

Now I ain't been making any money
That doesn't mean it can't get sunny
On the other side of every other gray
Life leaves us, just know I want you to stay
Before we lost, I needed you and me
Together, us against the world, just like a Family
But if it's You or this guitar that our whole Love's been on
Sorry, but I'm gone, gone, gone, gone, gone
Sorry, but I'm gone, gone, gone, gone, gone

See everyday's been on a loop
A repetition, stuck in patterns of our Routines, dreams, the picture, it seems
Im seeing double visions of the places we Were, scenes
With these ideas running through my mind, It's not all what it means
I lay awake at night, dreaming about the Times that you were always there
With us walking the streets living a love Affair
But you were just playing around, and Tearing down my house
Cause in the stupid game of cat and mouse, It's too much so I'm out

Now I ain't been making any money
That doesn't mean it can't get sunny
On the other side of every other gray
Life leaves us, just know I want you to stay
Before we lost, I needed you and me
Together, us against the world, just like a Family
But if it's You or this guitar that our whole Love's been on
Sorry, but I'm gone, gone, gone, gone, gone
Sorry, but I'm gone, gone, gone, gone, gone

I've had some highs, a couple from the Mary Jane, more from the things I've seen
These past few years have been a tricky game specially since I traded desert lights
Of that Sin City for the risky path of moving To the South, but it's so pretty
People ask where I've been, cause I stepped back from the music
I took a break to find myself and make a voice just to use it
Lost some friends along way, but you know what they say
That I'm a f*ck up, so f*ck 'em cause I don't need that anyway
I traded up to get out of the hole, but dug myself deeper
Lost my heart when I was 18 to a f*ckin' peace preacher
Who says if you aint all for them then you're a waste of their time
Which is funny coming from her, cause she took a year of mine
Now I'm exhausted... I spent a year looking In bottles
And all that I ever found were excuses to dull the sorrow
So f*ck her
F*ck all the Pride I had to swallow
Just wait a couple years
She'll see she lost Out on the lotto

Now I ain't been making any money
That doesn't mean it can't get sunny
On the other side of every other gray
Life leaves us, just know I want you to stay
Before we lost, I needed you and me
Together, us against the world, just like a Family
But if it's You or this guitar that our whole Love's been on
Sorry, but I'm gone, gone, gone, gone, gone
Sorry, but I'm gone, gone, gone, gone, gone

Yeah
Sorry, but I'm Gone
