We are one body, pilgrims of the earth
Joined with the saints, who've gone before us
In the breaking of bread, in the prayers we sing
Their light still shines in this sacred chorus
Through Christ, the Head, all grace flows free
Binding us together in holy unity
In the communion of saints, we stand as one
Heaven and earth, beneath the Father and the Son
From His body and blood, love is freely given
A holy people, bound for heaven
In faith we share, in gifts divine
From heaven's storehouse, through the sacraments' sign
The Spirit moves, charisms abound
With the saints, our souls are heaven-bound
For in their prayers, our weakness finds its might
As we journey through the darkness to the Light
In the communion of saints, we stand as one
Heaven and earth, beneath the Father and the Son
From His body and blood, love is freely given
A holy people, bound for heaven
We sing with the martyrs, their faith like flame
With angels above, we bless His name
The living and the dead, in Christ are one
Until He returns, when His will is done
United in love, with all who believe
In the communion of saints, we shall never leave
In every prayer, in every tear
The saints are near, dispelling our fear
Their intercession, a gift so pure
In Christ's mercy, we are secure
Together we wait for the glorious day
When death is vanquished, and night fades away
In the communion of saints, we stand as one
Heaven and earth, beneath the Father and the Son
From His body and blood, love is freely given
A holy people, bound for heaven
