Loki was a cat we used to have
But then he went to heaven when I was just twelve and a half
And even though that time was distant, there are nights where I still miss him
Cause he would be so nice to our new cat
Echo then became the one in charge
She may be a little tiny, but her ego's fierce and large
And I knew I'd treat her different, even if she never listens
Cause cats like her don't last as long as me
Sometimes I believe that Loki's death was not too long ago
Then I remember 2019 was five whole years ago
And those days I caused a scene
But now I'm about to turn eighteen
And I don't think I've cried that hard since Loki died
Poe's been skittish since we took him in
But we had to keep him warm because he showed up way too thin
But he had a change of heart when his dear brother had to part
And now he tries to be around more while he's here
Bassie is the youngest in the house
And she'll follow you around performing all her little sounds
And my father keeps on joking that he sees a bit of Loki
And that's why she always sleeps on top of him
Sometimes I think Bassie only showed up not too long ago
