Civilisation - rise again!
Thirty-nine years old
Keeps a secret still untold
By society folded to a mould
The aching whispers enfold
Her empty shell distraught
Beautiful yet fractured
Merging to such an enraptured capture
A tiny image in a big picture
Another chapter in this sad scripture
To bear a child in this post-war era
An inevitable onus carved into her brain like a chimera
Gratitude to the test-tube fertilisation
Another invention by the superior civilisation
Now pregnant in her thirty-forth week
Her whole world turns gradually bleak
The contraction suddenly kicks in
Leading to a paroxysm in her chin
The contractions getting stronger and stronger
1 - the feeling ineffably catharchic
2 - another child born
Another maternal death
