On the eleventh of September In the year two-thousand one We woke to the worst of nightmares in the early hours of dawn From Virginia to Manhattan In our town the fires raged Do you remember where you were on that day the universe changed

From Boston, Newark, and Dulles Terrorists armed with knives Hijacked four airliners and took five thousand lives They crashed into the Pentagon And the towers of world trade And the greatest city in the world became a fiery grave

On the south end of Manhattan The skyline came crashing down We thought the world had ended we thought it was our doom And all across this nation People cried out in great pain Did you lose somebody on that day the universe changed

But in the skies high over Pittsburgh The heroes of ninety-three Cried out we're bound to die boys we must fight this tyranny They struggled with their captors And I believe they must have won For they will never be forgotten for saving Washington

And those villains they were not Muslims To all of Islam they are a disgrace They thought they were going to Paradise, they would up in a hotter place For the Bible and the Qur'an Both speak these same few lines "You must love your neighbor as yourself if you seek that life on High"

Now the President called for warfare Saying we will hunt you and make you pay For all that you have done to us on that day the universe changed But in the streets of New York City Man helped his fellow man While attacks on innocent Muslims became the shame of our great land Those who burn down Muslim houses And those who beat up Muslim kids Well your actions are just as despicable as anything those hijackers did

And I'm gonna tell you people If these extremists are gonna be beat Jews, Christians, and Muslims are gonna have to take the seat Together we'll work against them Wherever they roam and range Jew, Christians, and Muslims together must work for change
