It's holiday season, and ads fill the air,
From screens and the sidewalks, they're everywhere.
TV shouts, "Buy it all! You'll miss out!"
And I'm left wondering... what's this really about?
What's Christmas about? What's Christmas about?
The art world declares, "Give something unique!"
But their "special edition" is sold every week.
Their posters and slogans all glitter and gleam,
I'm supposed to feel cultured-but is it just a scheme?
What's Christmas about? What's Christmas about?
Entertainment's no better; it's flashy and bright,
"See it now! Limited time! Pure delight!"
With teasers and trailers and promises bold,
They swear it's all magic... or so I've been sold.
Yes, ads keep on jingling, with glitter and flair,
Tempting me daily, like I actually care.
So here's to the season-just leave me some peace,
And maybe next year, let the marketing cease!
