Can you hear that
Can you feel that
That's my heart, racing
It hurts, badly
Because of how cruel their words are
My name never actually called out
That's where my earphones always came in
I felt little worth looking up from that mental ground
Their convincing words sank in, I believed them
They were always on top, it felt like
I felt only alone, felt like I was nothing
He felt my every heartbeat
Though filled with unimaginable hurt, His touch soothed me
Revived my heart from it's faint state
They... pushed me, but He caught me and kept me standing
He gave me the breath in my lungs and gave me my identity
That voice in my ear always reminding me that I'm more valuable than the flock of sparrows
I believed in their words, until I learned from His Word about His sons resurrection
He wore rugged clothing serving His people, providing for me
Took me under His wing, comforted me, protected me... saved me
