The trees sway in the breeze
The white noise of leaves pervades the air
I look up to the sky for warmth
My face basked in the light of the sun
My thoughts are a mess of cables
Wires that don't connect
Maybe the sun will shine light in
Or maybe the breeze will make me feel something
Trapped in my sentiments, ensnared by my nostalgia
How am I to continue in my state, swathed in reminiscence
The breeze picks up again, I am awash with fleeting vigor
The trees sway in the breeze
The white noise of my thoughts pervade the air
I look up to the sky for warmth
And my face is still pallid with disgust
The times I shared with so many people
Can only comfort me for so long
And what will happen years from now
Will I remember the good times and my accomplishments
Or will I still dwell on the fact that what I had was fleeting
