Schrödinger was a thinking man
He even liked to think about his cat
Those particles and waves
The space in matter
Contemplating table where he sat
A great experiment fires one single particle at a screen with two little slits
If it goes through the left one, a cat drinks poison
Through the right one, the kitty cat lives
Schrödinger fired the shot
He couldn't even see it
And ran around to look behind the screen
His jaw fell down and hung in amazement
At two cats where one should have been
One cat was drinking milk and looked up at Schrödinger
A pacifist, a precipice of war
The other cat was mewling, retching and convulsing
And suddenly was dead upon the floor
Schrödinger was astonished
Angrily bewildered
He picked up the purring furry blonde
When he looked down at the bowl, the milk was still present
But the other cat had vanished and gone
