Fog covers the town hiding the truth
The truth of your lies, sins, and insecurities, fog never conveys ruth
Even for the purest of the souls, the fog never clears
The fog sweeps you and the rest away, you have nothing to fear
Everyone has something inside that they have to hide
Fog covers the forgotten and neglected
Having to act a certain way to please the masses makes you feel rejected
Hiding the truth that will one day be known to all
Sinking and collapsing when you've accepted your final fall
The fog takes over as you grab it's hand
You spiral downward screaming inward, "Could I have been a better man?"
Everyone has something inside that they have to hide
Pulled onto a pedestal honored for the things I did
But what if they knew my past god forbid
Pushed onto a podium and have a flashback for things I'd done
If they had known all these these things in milliseconds you'd get shunned
Everyone has something inside that they have to hide
