The First Noel
Hmmmmmm
The first Noel, the angels did say,
Was to certain shepherds in fields as they lay;
In fields where they lay keeping their sheep,
On a cold winter's night that did them keep.
Hmmmmmm
They looked up and saw a star shining bright,
And singers, heavenly, a wondrous sight.
They sang, "Noel, Noel, and tidings of great joy,
To you and to all men, to all men, to all men."
Hmmmmmm
The shepherds arose, as they were told,
And went to seek Christ, of whom they had heard,
And there they found Him, wrapped in swaddling cloth,
More dear to them than any thing else beneath the sun.
Hmmmmmm
The first Noel, the angels did say,
Was to certain shepherds in fields as they lay;
In fields where they lay keeping their sheep,
On a cold winter's night that did them keep.
