I've always been afraid of the dark
But you are a star scattered sky on the darkest of nights
In other words, something I always wanted
But was in dangerous territory
I've always longed for a lover birthed in the night sky
Had many comets set my love and my heart ablaze
But hopefully, you're different
Crafted in the cradle of constellations
There's something special about you
I can tell
I can't say what it is
Perhaps your illuminance is simply too blinding for me to unravel
Maybe your gravity is holding down my better judgement
But I feel a pull to you that conquers all fear of my past
As children, we reached for what we wanted without fear
We didn't question the consequences
We just lived
If my words could paint you all the stars that burned me as I held them
If my lips could recount to you all the stars I didn't reach for out of fear
Perhaps it's time to live as children do
And let gravity guide us down
So we can enjoy this beautiful before
