That first dinner, you took the first step to unity

So you started all over across the deep blue sea
The Europeans came and they civilized the land
Before them it was nothing but genocide and
Tribes invading tribes, violations out of hand
No tribe had rights to any un-colonized land

Some of the land traded for some big and little things
The rest was won in conquest, it's a simple thing

Just look at how many handouts and grants we've extended
To their descendents, no other nation would even rent or lend it

To create the modern world, with honest trades
Conquest, and the will, to launch the great
Nation, America, but now we lost in the haze
