[ Featuring Thom Lucero ]
You ever noticed how in these cyberpunk cities, everything is just so neon?
I mean, it's like a rave party gone wrong.
I was walking through one of these dimly lit alleys
And I couldn't tell if I was in the future or just a really bad night club
So I meet this guy
Nicolai
A hacker
He's like: Jerry, you won't believe the stuff I've seen in cyberspace.
And I'm thinking: Yeah, right buddy, what are you surfing the internet in your dreams now?
But he's all serious, talking about androids, and humane-like machines
Is like the Terminator meets Saturday Night Fever or something.
Neon Cyberage
Hacker's Quest
A.I. Sidekick
Parallel worlds spin
(spin)
But get this, he's got this AI sidekick named Zahra
An artificial intelligence as a sidekick
I've had some weird companions in my life
A computer program takes the cake
I can't imagine going on a roadtrip with my laptop
Is like: Hey buddy, are you hungry?
Wanna download some pizza?

Hacker's Quest

Parallel worlds spin
Nicolai's got this existential crisis going on
He's questioning reality, identity, all that deep stuff
I'm just trying to figure out why my phone battery dies so fast
Is that existential?
Feels pretty existential to me
Anyway, in this cyber adventure they're dancing through parallel worlds and alternate realities
It's like, what is this? The Matrix on Broadway?
I can't keep up with all these dimensions
I can barely find my way around the mall.
Buy hey, you know, what I always say: Life's a mystery.
Like the T.V. remote.
You press a button and suddenly you are on a whole new channel.
Maybe Nicolai and Zahra will figure it out, who knows?
But as for me, I'm sticking with my regular reality
You know the one with coffee shops and stand-up comedy
That's all I need.
