In the beginning, they shaped the clay,
Equal in breath, equal in flame.
But when she stood tall and refused to bow,
They twisted her name, said, 'She's dangerous now.'
Adam cried for someone who'd kneel,
So they made Eve to seal the deal.
But blame was the crown they gave her to wear,
A story of shame that wasn't fair.
Why should I shrink to make you feel strong?
I was whole before you came along.
They fear a woman who walks away-
So they cast her out and made her a name.
I'd rather be Lilith than Eve,
First to rise and first to leave.
I won't break for a kingdom or king,
I'll write my own truth, I'll spread my own wings.
You can call me defiant, ungrateful, or bold,
But I won't trade my fire for a story they've told.
If freedom's the cost, then I'll pay and believe-
I'd rather be Lilith than Eve.
Lilith said, 'Share the earth, share the sky,'
But Adam's pride couldn't let her fly.
'You'll be beneath me,' he tried to decree,
So she walked away to set herself free.
Eve was molded to take her place,
Soft and silent, a compliant face.
But when she reached for what she desired,
They burned her name, said she conspired.
Why do they fear the ones who say no?
Who won't just stay where they're told to go?
It's not the apple, it's the power they hate-
Women who choose their own fate.
They've written their books, they've drawn their lines,
But Lilith's truth still survives the times.
A voice unbent, a will unshaken,
Not lost-just forsaken.
Eve carried their blame, but she wasn't weak,
She wanted the knowledge they wouldn't let her seek.
We're more than their stories, their punishments, their lies-
We are the fire, the earth, and the skies.
