Over the hill
What used to be a stream is now a dribble
And I'm sludging on
Wrinkles and grays
Headaches last for days
And pounds keep piling on
This gut proudly on display
And it's never going away now
SSRI, take a hit, glass of wine make it three
Shut the door hit the lights and set the alarm
And if sleep ever comes
It's gonna be medicated and interrupted
Heartbreak hits less
When life's coffee and stress
Still all I hear is I should give up
Everything that keeps me sane
Well I'm never gonna play that
Never gonna play their game
I'll be aging disgracefully
Not middle aged, I'm just mid revelry
Pop a champagne bottle, pop a blue pill too
Geezers just want to have fun
Every year there's less to lose
Oh, these kids and this wife
And this dog and this life
And this never-ending stream of "I want this, I want that"
I wanna be able to stand on the scale and not weep
I wanna be able to not suffocate to death in my sleep
Heartbreak hits less
When life's coffee and stress
Still all I hear is I should give up
Everything that keeps me sane
Well I'm never gonna play that
Never gonna play their game
I'll be aging disgracefully
Not middle aged, I'm just mid revelry
Pop a champagne bottle, pop a blue pill too
Geezers just want to have fun
Every year there's less to lose
I'm staying up all night
Gonna show these boys and girls
How we do it right
I got my second wind
I'm gonna win
You're old, you're old
You're very very old
I'll be aging disgracefully
Not middle aged, I'm just mid revelry
Go!
I'm not coming home
I'm never coming home
I can't find my way home
To the old folks home
