I read all the books I was supposed to read
But they didn't lead to the places they said they'd lead to
I'm the kind of man who skips to the last page
I want all your praise but none of your outrage
I don't dream much anymore but when I do I dream about you

I don't know but it's something to do

I was a mindless mess about mindfulness
I didn't know what it was trying to do
I kicked and I punched at what was inside me
All I knew was that I wouldn't let it define me
I didn't care about much but I always cared about you

What am I going to do
With all this time without you?
I guess I'll just figure it out as I go

What do other guys do?
Do they learn something new?
Like DIY, homebrew and fighting online
How do I fill all this time?

Maybe I'll start work on that novel
