Anonymou$ - My Reality Lyrics

Well all these other rappers spitting fiction tales
This my reality something I can live to tell
Cause in the city seen people join a gang man
And since then yo they haven't been the same man
It's a shame damn living like an outlaw
Never doing right like they were a southpaw
Some are dead. Some are living in a prison cell
Some change and some you got to wish them well
Nothing worst than a good kid gone bad
Sometimes I'm like damn can't believe I saw that
The other day I saw a homie I'd smoke bud with
And now he's changed cause now he's in love with
Smoking meth yeah man he a dope fiend
Needs it like a body builder needs protein
Lost in the high. I can see his soul scream
That he needs help! Pray to God he goes clean
Once your that high its really hard to come down
I learned that just by living in this one town
Watching homeless roaming through the streets
Recycling cans just to go and get tweaked
Trying to understand but it makes me wonder man
How can somebody just let themselves go?
And let drug get a grip and get a hold
Of their life like they have no control
It's like Walking Dead a bunch of zombies with no soul
Except its reality and no it ain't a show
I'm like a reporter taking notes on the streets
From the time I wake up till the time I go to sleep
Well some can't face life and drugs are their way out
The rest of us trying to find a different way out
Some take the safe route and after graduation
They go to college and proceed their education
Other's drop out. Don't even ask what they living for
The answers clear when their always at the liquor store
Other's like my homie die at a early age
On the stairway to heaven walking through the pearly gates
And to them I say forever rest in paradise
No longer living in a world filled with parasites
I'm glad that shit didn't leave me paralyzed
So I keep moving and say my prayers at night
I hope I don't fall into those categories
And If I do f*ck that'll be the saddest story
To give up and let my talent go to waste
So I try to get by and find my balance in this place
I don't want to be a product of my enviroment
Nah I want my people to see me as inspiring
That's why I use this music as my outlet
Cause I'm still here and I haven't made it out yet!
