I'm not who my photographs may claim me to be
The nightmares and the angel ones
They lie about me
Caught under an accident the wicked steal my poetry
They wave it through the lightning till there's
Nothing left to breathe
The nights in empty star-eyed dreams
I slide through the window
These are not my own dreams
The nights reveal an undertow
Simple inside broken skin I've lain upon the floor boards
And I watched as they became my self
And I begged them for more
We run time through a pocket watch, set low in the grass
I can see your eyes through the looking glass
The nights in empty star-eyed dreams
I slide through the window
These are not my own dreams
The nights reveal an undertow
Bring me down to cherish you in full light of the sun
Dancing through the water like a baby blessed one
When I tell you you'll start to laugh
At this graveyard's favorite epitaph
The nights in empty star-eyed dreams
I slide through the window
These are not my own dreams
I'm pulled down with the undertow
