Moonlight above
Water's veil sieving through
Boughs undulate
Veinless eyes, bloodless blue
Here intwined in cold pulling skein
Caught inside, I begin to strain
To get
Out into the sun
Where the light can shine in my eyes
And I'll hold on to life
Where there's air to breathe
I try to cry, 'set me free, won't you please?'
Why won't they see?
Soundless voice, airless breeze
I'm not ready
So please let me be
Out under the sun
Where the light can shine in my eyes
And I'll hold on to life
Where there's air to breathe
Quietly
I slip away
And go
Out into the sun
Where the light can shine in my eyes
And I hold on to life
And the air I can breathe
Under the sun
Where the light can shine in my eyes
And I'll hold on to life
Where there's air to breathe
In the air I breathe
