My woman goes down
To the village square
And she buys me four roses
She keeps them in her hair
When she comes back she's blooming
With petals in her eyes
But the flowers are now wilting
Much to her surprise
She don't carry hard money
Cause she uses a credit card
I don't need no proof of purchase
I know just who they're for
She says she'll buy me more...
Now white lilies fill my life
And even though I'm bored
I get crazy with myself
When I strum a couple chords
And from below with every little feeling
The green begins to show
And that blossom's so damn pretty
My heart can feel the glow
And each flower grows higher
Before they cut it down
But we know now that little trimmings
Falling to the ground
They hardly make a sound
