It's always Christmastime that Mom gets out her angel
She sets it out on her front door for all the strangers
To see from inside their cars as they speed down Westview Drive
It has felt feathers, and it has yellow yarn hair
It's always Christmastime when get to admire that angel
Back again to see my family, I cross the threshold
Into the house which is festive, filled with decorations, and blessed down to the core
And its friendly fireplace and yummy yogurt bowls welcome all the traditions of old
And the angel makes it great, good, and wonderful
Guarding the gate while my tummy gets full
Snow shining under the moon as it rises
Moon as it rises
It's always a beautiful night with all of my family
Playing card games and doing puzzles, as we watch a movie
The comfort of the couch, the living room lights are turned way down
Their intimate incandescent glow, their warm white bulbs alter the airflow
It's always a beautiful night when all of us get together
Cherishing when we are near, 'cause soon we will not get to be here someday
This divine place sold and filled with some other souls
They're soon to be telling stories and there are many memories that are to be made
The angel will be gone for good, ephemeral
Handed down to our hands, the next generation
Our parents watching us from up above with God
They are front door angels of Heaven
And I'm still in Winston, decorations
On my door, on my door
Thinkin' about the front door angel
Front door angel
Mom put on her house before
She sure was the front door angel
The front door angel
The front door angels of Heaven
They are the front door angels of Heaven
They are the front door angels, the front door angels of my house
On the door
The front door angels of Heaven
They are the front door angels of Heaven
The front door angels of my house
The home where I'll be
Where I'll be
Where I'll be one day
Where I'll be
The front door angels of Heaven
Welcome me to my home
