Every impression I ever made for a teacher was an honest one
Every A+ I ever got, it meant everything to me
The first memory I had here
Was looking down the long hallway
Where I saw all my potential go experimental
But It had to be done
Me and homies, we can say that we won
Cause graduation brought a high saturation into life we already had
The black and white school brought fuel
To the pools of agony and ant-agony the students swam inside of
I was in the gym with my songs playing on the loudspeaker
I was in the lunchroom telling kids how I was abused by the power that be
Yo I was in the chemistry class with memories that were a blast
Just a small kid with identity to cast
Broken woman who would choke the unforgiving
Faces that I may never see
Unless I stay inside my head for too long
I made songs talking about how we kept feelings in our lockers
Before we went to class, we had to read all these many rooms
Hallways that lead to lunch and then the art class
How we talked would determine whether not we were hollow
They taught us how to get an A+
And then we lifted weight that we had carried in the gym
Here's how to be the best student
Just listen closely
Take a stand of who you are and never back down
It's what I had do to make this record possible
Thinking so illogical of how to be the best rapper
When all I gotta do is just speak with passion
It's been a pleasure these past years in my youth as an artist
But now it's graduation
18 is here
