311 - You're Gonna Get It Lyrics
Official

See it comin' like a train in the distance
Watchin' everything change in an instant
Magical, feelin' indestructible
You don't even care what they're thinkin'
When you don't slow down it won't sink in
On your own, out there in the great unknown

Rollin' too fast, 200 on the dash
Tell me what'd you do, what'd you do, is it bad?
Coulda been worse, end up in a hearse
Talkin' to nobody, nobody
Somebody's spilled, end up gettin' grilled
Temporary fix, now you're livin' with the guilt
Feel it over and over
Lookin' over your shoulder

You're gonna get it
Might as well admit it 'cause you know you're gonna get it
Might as well admit it 'cause you know you're gonna get it

I'm really feelin' this one, like I already won
Ain't about to give some traction to my detractors 'cause I will outrun
And I'll outwork 'em dude, and I'ma finna too
No warnings or letters to let 'em know that I'm not fearin' you
I know you're gonna try, but you already know
Rollin' all the dice, and kick 'em down the road
I'll be on the side, watchin' you blow
Up, oh

Rollin' too fast, 200 on the dash
Tell me what'd you do, what'd you do, is it bad?
Coulda been worse, end up in a hearse
Talkin' to nobody, nobody
Somebody's spilled, end up gettin' grilled
Temporary fix, now you're livin' with the guilt
Feel it over and over
Lookin' over your shoulder

You're gonna get it
Might as well admit it 'cause you know you're gonna get it
Might as well admit it 'cause you know you're gonna get it

311's new single "You're Gonna Get It" was released after a five-year wait.

It's a rap-rock track with punk energy, similar to their classic songs. The lyrics suggest a theme of recklessness and potential addiction.

The music video depicts the band in a boxing ring. The song is the first single from their upcoming album and was written by Nick Hexum, Doug "SA" Martinez, Colin Brittain, and Elisha Noll. It was produced by 311.
