R.E.M. Quotes
"We've made our own decisions. We haven't let other people tell us what to do. We all believe that the band is more important than our individual egos,"
-Mike Mills
"Not at all. I consider the 3 of us to be extremely political, as citizens, and I separate our necessity, who we are
is public figures, and what we do is musicians, as creative people, for who we are, were private citizens."
-Michael Stipe
"When you think you've had too much of this life, well hang on. Everybody hurts, take comfort in your friends. Everybody hurts. Don't throw your hand. When you feel like you're alone. No, no, no, you're not alone."
"Slash and burn, return, listen to yourself churn. Lock him in uniform and book burning, blood letting. Every motive escalate. Automotive incinerate. Light a candle, light a motive. Step down, step down. Watch a heel crush, crush. Uh oh, this means no fear - cavalier. Renegade and steer clear! A tournament, a tournament, a tournament of lies. Offer me solutions, offer me alternatives and I decline."
