Kyng Kobra - Represent Black History Lyrics
Official

We started from the bottom now we're here
We made it to the top and we're not going anywhere
I'm rooting for my people
We just wanna be equal
I'm just tryna make things right
No more white against black or black against white
We just want peace
We're tired of being shot up by the police
We're fighting for our victories
I'm proud to represent Black History
One shot two shot three shot four
Five shot six shot seven souls more
From Trayvon, Mike Brown to Sandra Bland
It sure is hard just to be a black man
In America, land of the free
Liberty and justice but not for me
Ever since elementary
Black kids treated unequally
Casted off and stereotyped
Then we have our brain's washed memories wiped
Don't know who we are
Doubt our worth
But let me tell you something even worse
We all know that our history was cursed
Put at a disadvantage straight from birth
This is what they teach us in school
That Blacks were slaves and slavery was cruel
But they say we should let it go
Cause it's been 400 years, so long ago
But they don't tell us how we used to be Kings
Sitting on our thrones right next to our Queens
Or how we came up from slavery
A testament to our bravery
Or how we made our marks
Rose up out the dark
Took a seat up front, Rosa Parks
Through the Harlem Renaissance
They tried to keep us down but this was our response
We started from the bottom now we're here
We made it to the top and we're not going anywhere
We started from the bottom now we're here
We made it to the top and we're not going anywhere
I'm rooting for my people
We just wanna be equal
I'm just tryna make things right
No more white against black or black against white
We just want peace
We're tired of being shot up by the police
We're fighting for our victories
I'm proud to represent Black History
