d4vd - Withered Album Lyrics

d4vd - Withered Lyrics

Atomic Land

There's somethin' about you
That I don't understand
If my arms were around you
Would you love me again?
We could go to the beach
And dip our toes in the sand
Love was never this dangerous
This is atomic land

You were looking at me
Like I did something wrong again
Your expressions says more to me than
Words we never said

Oh, we could be imaginary
But you're real to me
I don't wanna dream, oh
If that dream don't have you and me

When I'm not around you
Honey, I don't feel so good
I wanna renounce you
But I don't think that I could
You can eat me alive
You can tell you hate me
You can tell me to walk away
But I don't think that I can

You're my guardian angel
But you act like a demon
You don't believe the afterlife
But, babe, just know I've seen it

Oh, we could be imaginary
But you're real to me, oh
I don't wanna dream
If that dream don't have you and me

Sky

I failed you once but I swear I won't do it again
Sometimes its hard for a lost cause to let you in
It's cold inside but the outside's hot as its ever been
But I'll stand in the heat while the sun drips on my skin
I'm hanging over the edge
Would you give me a hand?

Now the sky is falling, sky is falling down
And I need someone, need someone else
I missed you, I missed you somehow
Never meant to, but I had to let you down

The way you look at me turns water to wine
I just need one more reason to compromise
I'm hanging over the edge
Was this a part of the plan?

Now the sky is falling, sky is falling down
And I need someone, need someone else
I missed you, I missed you somehow
Never meant to, but I had to let you down

We're like the tides and the moon 'cause you're pulling me in
It's like the start of a fire, caught in the wind
I don't need you to lean on me ever again
I just want you to be my friend

Now the sky is falling down
And I need someone around
I missed you, I missed you somehow
Never meant to, but I had to let you down

I'm underneath the tree, the sky is falling down on me
And nobody seems to believe that something strange is happening
Feels like I'm running out of time, and breath, and energy
But as the world is crumbling, you're still the only one I need

You Left Me First

I think it's strange when I call you
And you don't pick up 'cause you always do
And you say you were busy
But you've never not made time for me

Ooh, oh
Why do you lie when there's no point in lyin'?
Ooh, oh
Why do I try when there's no point in tryin'?
You loved me at my best, I loved you at your worst
How ironic is that when you left me first?

It never made sense to me
Fallin' deeper into jealousy
'Cause I can't help the thought of you
With someone else, I know the truth

Ooh
Why do you lie when there's no point in lyin'?
Ooh, oh
Why do I try when there's no point in tryin'?
You loved me at my best, I loved you at your worst
How ironic is that when you left me first?

Ohh, ohh
You left me first
Ohh, ohh
You left me first

I sound so stupid right now but, like
I've been so selfish and I can't stop thinking about you
And what I did, and
And how it's like affecting, like, everything, like
I just wanted to say I'm, I'm sorry
I really am sorry

Say It Back

What makes you stay?
What makes you go?
What makes you wait?
I'll never know
When seasons change again
And you get bored of me
I want you to let me know
But I can't let you go

'Cause I love you
Like I'm supposed to
But you don't say it back
You never say it back
So now I hate you
And I hope it breaks you
I won't take it back
I won't take it back

I know what you want, but, no, I'm petty when it comes to you
I don't have an issue if I miss you, then I'm comin' through
Every time you cross my mind, I'm terrified of callin'
Oh, God, so please don't cross it
I've been losin' sleep and losin' pieces of myself again
Everybody says I need a lover, but I need a friend
Talkin' to the walls inside my room, the voices in my head, girl

About how much I love you
Like I'm supposed to
But you don't say it back
You never say it back
So now I hate you (I hate you)
And I hope it breaks you
I won't take it back
I won't take it back
'Cause I love you

How much I love you

Friend Again

I wanna settle down when I get older
I'm looking over shoulders
I wanna fall in love
"Think we should settle down," that's what I told her
I should've been less bolder
She said I'm not the one

I used to be her everything
And now she doesn't answer me
I didn't ask for anything
I only want her next to me

Love me, hate me whatever you're feeling
Nothing changes, I don't wanna be your friend again (friend again)
Be your friend again (friend again)
I know you wanna fight me, hurt me, whenever I'm healing
You're too dangerous, I don't wanna be your friend again (friend again)
Be your friend again (friend again)

I think I'm coming down but it's not over
I'm losing my composure
Letting you get to me
Good thing we're older now, but I still wanna
She's got someone better
And I've got jealousy (jealousy)

I used to be her everything
And now she doesn't answer me
I didn't ask for anything
I only want her next to me

Love me, hate me whatever you're feeling
Nothing changes, I don't wanna be your friend again (friend again)
Be your friend again (friend again)
I know you wanna fight me, hurt me, whenever I'm healing
You're too dangerous, I don't wanna be your friend again (friend again)
Be your friend again (friend again)

Now you're lonely, you need company
Please don't call me, I won't be your friend again
Be your friend again
You could show me that you're sorry
But I'm sorry, I won't be your friend again
Be your friend again

Somewhere in The Middle

It's you
Doing things you're not supposed to do
You don't think that I would know the truth
But every day I see the way you move
And it's not like you
I wanna think you love me, but you never say the word
I gave you what you wanted and got nothing in return, oh

I don't love you, I don't hate you
I'm somewhere in the middle
Somewhere in the middle
I don't love you, I don't have to
I'm losing it a little
Somewhere in the middle

I just bought a hammer
I'm trying to fix you (fix you)
(But I know I can't)
Where are my manners?
I might have a screw loose (screw loose, oh)
Everything you say to me somehow turns me on
(You ruin everything, you ruin everything)
You told me it's okay to feel happy when you're gone
(You're really good to me, you're really good to me)

I don't love you, I don't hate you
I'm somewhere in the middle
Somewhere in the middle
I don't love you, I don't have to
I'm losing it a little
Somewhere in the middle

I'm doing more and talking less
I'm tryna learn to hold my breath
But everything just seems irrational
Getting over you's such an obstacle

(I don't love you) I don't love you
(I don't hate you) I don't hate you
(I'm somewhere) I'm somewhere in the middle
(In the middle) somewhere in the middle
(I don't love you) I don't love you
(I don't have to) I don't have to
(I'm losing) I'm losing it a little
(In the middle) somewhere in the middle

Crashing

[ Featuring Kali Uchis ]

Baby, baby, I've been asleep for far too long
But when you wake me
Say you love me and sing our song
I don't wanna be useless
I don't wanna be stupid
I don't wanna be dumb
I know you've been goin' through it
But baby, I've been goin' through it all alone

It all comes crashin' down (down)
It all comes crashin' down (down)
I'll be holdin' onto you, holdin' onto you
I'll be holdin' onto you, holdin' onto you

When the world comes crashin' down, I know where I'll stand
Right next to my baby, keep holding my hand
'Cause the enemy may try to conquer and divide
Well, I'll stay by your side every day and every night
Ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh
Do you think we could ever fall out like everyone else does?
No-oh-oh-oh-oh-ooh, we won't
Just hold me tight and don't you let go (oh)

It all comes crashin' down (goin' down, goin' down, goin' down)
It all comes crashin' down (goin' down, goin' down, goin' down)
I'll be holdin' onto you, holdin' onto you (still holdin')
I'll be holdin' onto you, holdin' onto you (still holdin')

Still holdin', yeah
I'm still

Invisible String Theory (Interlude)

So I got a question
What's the question?
Um, why don't you hold my hand anymore?
Aw, here we go again, bro
Nah, I'm so serious, I'm so serious, like (bro)
Aight, aight, continue, continue
I haven't held your hand in like (and, and, and like)
Dude, shut up (sorry, alright)
Like you're not funny (my fault, my fault)
I swear you're not funny (my fault, I'm done, I'm done, I'm done)
Aight, let me think
'Bout to, 'bout to set a timer
Um, it could, it could have been yesterday, yo
It could have been yesterday (oh, okay, yesterday, wow, yeah)
I'm, I'm glad you remember that
I'm glad for that (period)
Ew, I hate when you say period, bruh (thank you, shut up)
It's so-, alright, alright
I, I got, I got a question for you now (okay)
Why do you, why do you think we met?
Yeah, why do you think we met?
Well, I think, personally, I
Have you ever heard of the invisible string theory?
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah (yeah, exactly that)
So, so basically
We met because we were supposed to meet (okay)
And we're connected because we're supposed to be connected
It's kinda like that, um
I loved you before I existed and I'll love you even when I die (word)
Yes, um (word, okay)
But, but, yeah, like
It's like, it's weird, it's strange
It's unpredictable (yeah)
So, don't leave me, please (alright, you got it)
Alright, you got it, you got it
Alright, alright

I love you
I love you

Is This Really Love?

Is this really love?
If you don't say the word anymore
If I'm not enough
Let me know when you find what you're looking for

I know it was fake to you
But it was real to me
Tried to stay the same for you
But you changed on me

You said that you never meant to hurt me
But, baby, I know this is how it goes
And if there is a world where you're not leaving
Then, darlin', I need to know

Is this really love? (Is this love?)
If you don't say the word anymore
If I'm not enough
Let me know when you find what you're looking for
(What you're looking for)
Is this really love?

You may have called my bluff
But you've been acting up
Hate it here, ain't enough
I just want back my love
You got somebody else to take my place
And did it the wrong way
After all I did for you

You said that you never meant to hurt me
But, baby, I know this is how it goes
And if there is a world where you're not leaving
Then, darlin', I need to know

Is this really love? (Is this love?)
If you don't say the word anymore
If I'm not enough
Let me know when you find what you're looking for
(What you're looking for)
Is this really love?

Tell me, won't you tell me, won't you tell me what it is?
Won't you tell me, won't you tell me what it is?
'Cause it ain't love
No, it ain't love
Tell me, won't you tell me, won't you tell me what it is?
Won't you tell me, won't you tell me, won't you tell me what it is?
'Cause it ain't love
No, it ain't love

Where'd It Go Wrong?

Where'd it go wrong with you?
I don't belong with you
Mmm

It's a tragedy
I really thought you were meant for me
I guess you're not, and I can't believe you
I really wanna leave you
How could you lie to me?
Every kiss put a cavity between my lips
I really can't believe you
Don't even wanna see you

I've gotta make my mind up
But I can't be wasting time, I might die
(I don't wanna die, I don't wanna die)
Another life is where they'll find us (oh)
I hope they just remind us, I tried

Where'd it go wrong with you?
(Let me out, let me out, let me out)
I don't belong with you
Uh

You tell me sorry this, and I apologize
But you don't wanna change, I see it in your eyes
I never got cut by a Band-Aid before
You give me bad luck, I can't take it no more

I gotta make my mind up
I can't be wasting time, I might die, ooh

Where'd it go wrong with you?
(Let me out, let me out, let me out)
I don't belong with you
(At all, at all, at all)

Baby, don't trip on me
Baby, why can't you see?
Whenever I'm about to leave
I swear, I swear, I mean it
Whenever it gets convenient
'Cause you gon' make my heart stop beatin'
And I don't really want your love no more, I swear, 'cause I don't need it
And I don't mean to be conceited
But I'm the reason you're still breathin'
I'll stop picking up your calls, 'cause you won't stop screamin'
Is it love or lust? I can tell you're feenin'
And I don't wanna hurt your feelings
But, baby, just know my feeling's gone
It's been a while, but you've been on my mind now
It keeps me up at night, I cannot believe this life, I
I wish I never met you, I even second guessed you
But I was in too deep, I couldn't leave I couldn't let you
Walk away from everything, I thought that you were everything
You told me I was special, girl
But that does not mean anything to me

It don't mean anything to me (I tried)
It don't mean anything to me

What Are You Waiting For

I see you from across the room
I thought I wouldn't feel a thing
I think it's getting colder now
I wanna get close to you

I swear that we've been here before
I guess you didn't notice me
But you do now
Oh, you do now

What are you waiting for?
What are you waiting for?
'Cause I've been standing here
Oh, I've been standing here

What are you waiting for?
What are you waiting for?
'Cause I've been standing here
It's never been so clear

I get it if you wanna wait
'Cause I'll stay in my place
I ain't got nowhere to go
I got plenty time to waste
Think I've fallen in love
But that's not enough
If you don't feel the same
I guess I'll leave you alone

But it's time and time again, babe
You're never listening, babe
If there's no promises made
I don't ever wanna fall in love
I don't ever wanna mess it up
We're running out of luck

What are you waiting for?
What are you waiting for?
'Cause I've been standing here
Oh, I've been standing here

What are you waiting for?
What are you waiting for?
'Cause I've been standing here
It's never been so clear

Why do you wait? Why do you wait?
Why do you wait? Why do you wait?
Why do you wait? Why do you wait?
Why do you wait? why do you wait?

Tell me to stay, you're wasting my time
Every day I'm waiting in line
Standing in place, 'cause baby, that's all I know
Why do you wait? Just tell me

What are you waiting for?
What are you waiting for?
'Cause I've been standing here
Oh, I've been standing here

What are you waiting for? (Why do you wait? why do you wait?)
What are you waiting for? (Why do you wait? why do you wait?)
'Cause I've been standing here
Oh, I've been standing here

One More Dance

The heavier the rain
The heavier the snow
The heavier the weight
After watching you go
The smile on your face
As the music starts to play
To empty your brain, oh
A form of escape, oh

Dance with your eyes wide shut
Forty degrees 'round us
Holding you closer than before
The only way I'm letting you go
Is if I can't see my hands
If my heart beats one less
Faster than it's ever before
All that I ask of you is one more dance

But only if you can
'Cause while they stare at us
It wouldn't make sense for us
To stop the music from playing
Heart's still racing
All I'm saying is
Most of these people don't mean nothing
They don't mean nothing, so

Dance with your eyes wide shut
Forty degrees 'round us
Holding you closer than before
The only way I'm letting you go
Is if I can't see my hands
If my heart beats one less
Faster than it's ever before
All that I ask of you is one more dance

Right foot, left foot, dance, dance
Give me one more dance, dance
Hold on to my hands, ohh-oh

Ghost

Oh, why don't you love me?
Oh, Heaven or Hell, we will meet
Lucky me, lucky me, lucky me, just to have met
Torture me, torture me, torture me, I can't forget

He might have you (you)
But I've got your ghost (ghost)
And we both know (both know)
That's the real you (real you)
And God knows it's true (so true)
I love you the most (the most)
But we both know (both know)
What I have to do (to do)

Eyes lookin' right through me
Why? Why can't I hear your heartbeat?
Just a dream, just a dream
Just a dream, don't wake me up (ooh)
Make-believe fantasy, dance with me under the moonlight

But he might have you (you)
But I've got your ghost (ghost)
And we both know (both know)
That's the real you (real you)
And God knows it's true (so true)
I love you the most (the most)
And we both know (we both know)
What I have to do (to do)

She's so happy
When she's with me
Leave me in this dream
Don't be nasty
Let us keep this
Perfect memory

He might have you
But I've got your ghost

Afterlife

Something's missing from inside of me
Someone stole what wasn't mine
The Devil told me you were good for me
My mother told me he would lie
What doesn't kill you waits for later
What tries to keep you alive fails
I thought a girl would make me happy
Real love is not for sale

So I'll buy what I can as I try to pretend
Something else is making me cry when you cross the line
I'm still by your side
(I crossed it with you)
And when I die
(You're holding the knife)
I'll love you from the afterlife (from the afterlife, from the afterlife)
I'll love you from the afterlife (from the afterlife, from the afterlife)

What good is walking on water with a sinking feeling?
What good is a kiss without meaning?
It won't stop me from bleeding

But I'll buy what I can as I try to pretend
Something else is making me cry when you cross the line
I'm still by your side
(I crossed it with you)
And when I die
(You're holding the knife)
I'll love you from the afterlife (from the afterlife, from the afterlife)
I'll love you from the afterlife (from the afterlife, from the afterlife)
