Amy and I have been together for
More than four months, and it was time
The time that all men hate
It was time to meet her parents
We sat at their kitchen table
Eating fresh salmon and salad
I was a little nervous; no one had
Said much, so I thought I would
Start things off with a joke
I said
This salmon is tuna riffic
I looked at their reactions
Which were all horrific
I cant believe I just said that
Someone kill me now
Amy broke up with me that night
Kicked me out to the road
With nothing but my glasses
And my flashy red bow tie
I didn't think that joke was that bad
I walked down to the boardwalk
And saw an old man fishing
He hooked on a fish and reeled it in
He caught a salmon
Now it as time to see if that
Joke was funny or not
I said
That salmon is tuna riffic
He looked back at me
With a look of horror
He shook his head
Embarrassed for me
And then he fell into the water
I can't believe my little joke
Turned out to be so bad
I thought it was funny
But that's just me
Should I try it one more time?
I saw the sheriff clocking speeds
So I walked up next to him
He didn't know I was there
Until five minutes later
I pointed to a picture of a
Fish in my wallet
I said
This salmon is tuna riffic
Then after that he gave me a
Ticket he said son don't say that
Again I'm starting to feel bad for you
This salmon is tuna riffic
Hilarious in my eyes
But no one else's
This night of humiliation
Has caused me nothing
But humiliation
Should I give up my comedy career
Or will I be back one of these days
With a brand new joke
