B Mac - Trouble I See Lyrics

May have been raised in the church house, but you don't know my life kid
You never walked where I walked or did what I did
See from a young age the image of a man in my mind was skewed
Caused dad was on them drugs, and only so much mom can do
I Remember nights left wondering how come he didn't show up this time
Lil bro and sis was fed up, I wanted to give another try
I'm disappointed even up to my wedding day
Promised to be there but he wasn't but it was a ok
See mom remarried to the best man I hope for
Took care of 3 bad kids... Ain't that really what a pops for
He taught us so much From playing ball to cracking jokes
Found myself wondering, this what a dad is like without the coke?
That's why my heart breaks when fathers step out on they family
So I model a good man they'll see
Nobody knows the trouble struggles I've been dealt
But praise God he's got my back, and he ain't failed me yet

Graduated high school, I was the apple of my moms eye
A good kid could do no wrong if I tried
Loaded up and off to college man I went
Mom and dad cried, that moment but to me it was heaven sent
At 13 I was called to preach the gospel to the youth
Love people love God, do his commands and spread the truth
But somehow I fell off, Wrong friends left me stranded
Running fast from God and all that he demanded
Music was my outlet but it led me down a dark path
I moved to the ATL and Hood hard was my outlet
As years passed momma never stopped praying
Gods arms opened wide, swear he never stopped waiting
And then I repented and it changed my life for the better
Rainy days cleared up, you could say He changed my weather
Nobody knows the trouble struggles I've been dealt
But praise God he's got my back and ain't failed me yet
